We Were in Chad for Eid al-Adha 2026

During Eid al-Adha 2026, Sunrise carried out its Qurbani programme in Chad, delivering the trust of our donors to families in need. We carefully selected the animals, carried out the sacrifices in accordance with Islamic principles and made sure that children were also part of the joy of Eid.

During Eid al-Adha 2026, Sunrise was once again on the ground in Chad. Our teams carried out the Qurbani programme with the aim of delivering the sacrifices entrusted to us by our donors to families in need and sharing the blessings of Eid with local communities. Once again, we witnessed that Eid is not only a time of worship, but also a precious opportunity to share, remember others and bring joy to those around us.

Every stage of the Qurbani process was carefully followed by our teams, from the selection of the animals to the sacrifice and distribution of the meat. We made sure that the animals met the necessary requirements and that the sacrifices were carried out in accordance with Islamic principles. The prepared meat was then distributed to families in need, ensuring that the trust placed in us by our donors reached its intended recipients.

We also made sure that the children were not forgotten during Eid. Alongside our Qurbani activities, we shared small gifts and treats with children so that they too could experience the happiness and excitement of these special days. Sometimes even a simple gift or a warm smile can become a lasting memory and help make Eid a little more meaningful.

Our Qurbani work does not end with Eid al-Adha. Because we want families to experience support not only on one special day, but throughout the year, we also carry out voluntary, vowed (Nadhr), Aqiqah, gratitude and healing-intention sacrifices entrusted to us by our donors. We sincerely thank everyone who contributed to this meaningful work and pray that their sacrifices and donations are accepted and become a source of lasting benefit for those in need.
